The aim of the Summit is to enhance the academic and theoretical development of Chinese language teaching and learning. The Summit will also strengthen the connection between leaders, scholars, publishers and technologies in Chinese language education and promote cultural exchange and the sharing of educational resources.

The overall theme of the Summit is “The Chinese Language Education in the New Era”. The Summit will be divided into plenary talks and theme-based group sessions. Chinese language education specialists in the South Pacific area will be invited to deliver keynote speeches. Publishers and technologists that specialize in Chinese language education will also display their state-of-the-art products.

The Summit is hosted by Massey University and The Consortium of the Advanced Subjects in New Zealand, organized by JNU Chinese School of New Zealand, and supported by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council of PRC, the Embassy of PRC in New Zealand, the Consulate-General of PRC in Auckland, and Jinan University.
